I know it's hard losing a family member because ironicly my dad died when I was 9 too. when people lose a loved one sadness takes them over but not in a suicidal way. sure everybody tries cuting at least once but please don't ban me for saying this, your friend is probably seeking attention. when people cut themselves that often they are not trying to kill themselves. If she was that desperate she would have done it already. I know I sound like an evil person and I'm sorry about that but I know what your friend is going through. when my dad died I though about killing myself but then I realized that what does that solve. sure life is sometimes overrated but your going to have a much better time enjoying it then hating it. cutting yourself only makes you even more depressed and it does not make you cool (not that I'm saying your friend is trying to be popular or anything). the fact remains that when bad things happen people craive attention and cutting is not the right way to get it. All it does is make people hate you and think your greedy. in conclusion the only thing that is happening inside your friend can be changed. I hope that I don't sound like a jerk and if I do I appologise but I am only trying to help. Tell you friend that I am very sorry for what happened and please help her understand the horrors about cutting. Thank you for your time.
